• Nikola Jokić's Historic Triple-Double: On January 23, Jokić delivered a remarkable game with 35 points, 22 rebounds, and 17 assists, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 132-123 victory over the Sacramento Kings. This performance tied a 57-year-old record set by Wilt Chamberlain.

• Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Career Night: On January 22, Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 54 points, propelling the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 123-114 win against the Utah Jazz.

• James Harden's Offensive Surge: On January 25, Harden scored 40 points, including 17 in the third quarter, to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 127-117 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

• Josh Hart's Triple-Double: On January 25, Hart achieved a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, contributing significantly to the New York Knicks' 143-120 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Drops of the Week

The GT Cut is one of my favorite looking designs for a shoe. Following the other year of the snake releases, I think these are clean. The gold eye stay and symbols on the sides are a nice touch.

Having lived in Phoenix for a couple years I took a bunch of trips north to Flagstaff. If you are not familiar, it is not what you would expect for a place only 144 miles from the desert. A ski resort, pine trees, and the NAU lumberjacks. These are another pair I may have to grab just because it is an ode to one of my favorite places in Arizona.

Beyond the Arc: Updates from Off the Court

FIBA EuroBasket 2025
Victor Wembanyama has committed to playing for France in the upcoming EuroBasket tournament, which will be held from August 27 to September 14 across four countries: Latvia, Cyprus, Poland, and Finland. The tournament will feature 24 national teams competing for the continental championship.

A blockbuster three-team trade in the WNBA was reported today, involving some of the league's biggest stars.

1. Jewell Loyd is moving from the Seattle Storm to the Las Vegas Aces

2. Kelsey Plum is being traded from the Las Vegas Aces to the Los Angeles Sparks

3. The Seattle Storm are receiving the No. 2 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft and forward Li Yueru from the Sparks

Additional draft picks involved in the trade:

• Los Angeles Sparks receive the No. 9 pick from Seattle

• Las Vegas Aces receive the No. 13 pick from Los Angeles

This trade fulfills Loyd's request to be traded from Seattle, where she has spent her entire career since being drafted in 2015. Loyd, a six-time All-Star, averaged 19.7 points and 4.5 rebounds last season. Plum, a three-time All-Star, has been instrumental in the Aces' back-to-back WNBA championships in 2022 and 2023. She averaged 17.8 points and 4.2 assists last season. The trade is expected to be made official on February 1, when players can start signing contracts for the new season.

Cameron Brink Ventures into Podcasting

WNBA star Cameron Brink is launching a new podcast titled "Straight to Cam," debuting on January 28. Collaborating with her god-sister, influencer Sydel Curry-Lee, the podcast will cover topics ranging from basketball insights to personal stories, featuring guests from their inner circle. Brink, who had a standout career at Stanford and was the No. 2 pick in the WNBA Draft, aims to connect with fans on a more personal level through this venture.
